OMG Foodie Recommends:
Serving the Tastiest Falafels in NYC
Meaning “tasty” in Hebrew, Taim is the product of husband & wife team Stefan Nafziger and Chef Einat Admony, serving some of the crispiest and most delicious falafels in town. Taking a gourmet approach to recreating Tel Aviv street food, Chef Einat was able to form a menu with rich, tasty herbs and spices that accurately mirrors their namesake.

Falafels, Falafels, & More Falafels!: Always fried to order while using locally sourced ingredients to put a twist on traditional recipes, we guarantee you’ll fall in love with the falafels here! There are three types of flavors for you to order: you have the “Green” flavor, which is a traditional recipe with parsley, cilantro, and mint (it’s also our favorite one). Next you have the “Harrisa”, which is a great mix of Tunisian spices that has a mild spice to it. Finally, you have the Red, which is a spicy mix of roasted red peppers that won’t overwhelm your palette while producing an extra kick to each bite.

Along with their amazing falafels, we also recommend the sabich sandwich - a tasty combination of eggplant (fried to order), egg, along with parsley, hummus (so creamy), pickled cabbage, tahini sauce and pickled mango chutney. To help wash it all down, we suggest ordering one of their signature smoothies. Our personal favorite is their strawberry and raspberry combination with Thai basil.
Each location is well suited for a stroll in the neighborhood with falafels to go in hand.
New Location in NoLita: Taim is located in the West Village and just opened their new store in NoLita, on 45 Spring St (which has more seats). However, each location is well suited for a stroll in the neighborhood with falafels to go in hand. If you can’t make it to their store, be sure to check out their food truck, aka “Taim Mobile” (@TaimMobile on Twitter), which has a dedicated schedule with locations near Union Square, Madison Square Park, FiDi, and West SoHo.

If you’re really hungry, they also serve a great batch of fries with saffron aioli.
Looking for a light snack? They offer a falafel sampling that’s 2 of each flavor.
