Spot Dessert Bar

For a basement restaurant, Spot certainly sets the bar high (dessert bar, that is). Chef Ian Chalermkittichai - known in New York for Kittichai and Ember and around the globe for his famed restaurants in Bankgok, London, and Mumbai—became head pastry chef this fall at Spot. Chef Ian took a break from jet setting around the world and shared his sweet recipes with us.

Spot isn’t your typical cupcake stand. Chef Ian fuses Asian flavors with American desserts, resulting in unexpected but comforting delights.

For the ultimate dessert experience, grab a couple of friends and order the Omakase, a tasting menu encompassing the entire restaurant. Ideal for three or more guests, Omakase allows you to taste everything on the menu. With so many delicious choices, you’ll be glad to have a bite of each!

Shake up your weekend with Spot’s new brunch menu or stop by 13 St. Marks Place for an after-dinner treat. Chef Chalermkittichai may have restaurants all over the world, but there’s only one that satisfies his sweet tooth. Soon this will be your regular spot too, as long as you save some room for dessert.
