BXL: Brunch, Extra Large
Named after the initials for Brussels, this Belgian restaurant could easily stand for something else, be it beer, brunch, or boudin.
Offering a meal, unlimited coffee, and an adult beverage for $19, BXL upholds the trifecta of NYC brunch
BXL East is the eastside equivalent of BXL Café in Times Square, both famous for their beer selections. Though you could come here every day for two weeks and never order the same beer twice-BXL has fourteen on tap and even more bottles-we urge you to wake up a little earlier and make it to brunch.
Offering a meal, unlimited coffee, and an adult beverage for $19, BXL upholds the trifecta of NYC brunch. Yet, with the choice between "Les Classiques," "Les Sandwiches," or "Les Oeufs" (eggs), BXL proves Belgium deserves a seat at the brunch table. The Belgian classics include waffles, onion soup gratinee, pain perdue (French toast), and truffle mushroom and cheese croquettes. In more of a sandwich mood? Order the Mitraillete, which is burger steak, with French fries placed between the burger and French baguette. We hear it's such a good hangover cure you'll order a second bloody mary.
Don't drink mimosas? Don't drink coffee? Steer clear of the brunch deal and order something off "Les Plats," such as the Boudin Blanc & Noir Puree: veal and chicken sausage, blood sausage, mashed potatoes, and apple sauce for $16.00.

If you really can't get out of bed in time for brunch, come back to BXL on Sunday or Monday night for unlimited mussels and a Stella Artois. Caught on Prince Edward Island, these mussels are cooked to order and served with French fries and a variety of sauces.
Use the shell of the mussel as your utensil-nature's tongs
If you didn't choose the waffle for brunch, order it off the dessert menu-this one's topped with whipped cream, strawberries, pistachios, ice cream, and, our new favorite, speculoos
Stop by BXL to watch football (the kind actually played with your feet) and the Tour de France during July
